The Fascia & Soffit Company Ltd Can Help Sell Your Home!
This time next year Home Information Packs will be mandatory, which means that every home for sale in England and Wales will need a Home Condition Report before it can be marketed.
The Home Condition Report (HCR) is an important part of the new Home Information Pack, which for the first time puts the onus on the homeowner to present up-to-date information on the property for sale.
Those looking to buy a home and the estate agents who need to value a property for sale, will scrutinise the results of the Home Condition Report that indicate whether the building is in a state of good repair and has been properly maintained. For a home that needs updating, the cost to bring it up to standard will have a direct impact on its saleability and the market price.
The condition of roofline can make the difference between a quick sale and a property remaining on the market. You can increase the value of your property and make it more marketable by home improvements to the exterior as well as the interior.
The Home Condition Report will highlight the condition of a home’s roofline and comment on the impact of a poorly maintained property. A UPVC Roofline not only improves the look of a property, but fulfil a practical role too. Good roofline products keep out birds and vermin, prevent leaks and damp, and provide ventilation in the roof space.
FASC UPVC Roofline will make it more attractive and put any future purchaser’s mind at rest. Even if you don’t intend to move immediately, it’s worth evaluating your home’s exterior:
- What is your home’s kerb appeal?
- How does it measure up against your neighbour’s property?
- Are there any signs of deterioration – like rot and peeling paint?
- Are your soffits, fascias and guttering weather-proof?
- Do you know when your roofline was last replaced or maintained?
- Do you have a guarantee for the installation and details on the products used?
Replacing old and leaky rainwater goods and roofing can be costly so it’s important to choose products that will perform well and look good for decades. FASC’s roofline range lasts for years & our fascias, guttering, downpipes, soffits, bargeboards and cladding do not warp, crack, flake, pink or peel, they are maintenance-free and come in a wide range of colours and styles.
As Home Information Packs become available for home sellers to try out this summer, think about how your property might be represented in the Home Condition Report. Don’t forget, if you want to move after July next year, your home will be under the microscope.
